Speechcraft - Terms of Service

Welcome to Speechcraft. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Speechcraft website (speechcraft.co) and our AI-powered speech-writing service ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

Speechcraft is operated by Empiire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17196333. Our registered address is Empiire Ltd, Summit House, 10 Waterside Court, Newport, NP20 5NT, United Kingdom.

In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Empiire Ltd trading as Speechcraft. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the Service.

2. What the Service does

Speechcraft uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised wedding speeches based on information you provide through our online form. After payment, we deliver the generated speech to you as a downloadable document and via email.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

4. Your account and information

You do not need to create an account to use the Service. We collect information you provide voluntarily through the speech form (such as names, anecdotes, and event details) and your email address at payment.

You agree that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You should not include information about other people without their knowledge if that information is sensitive or private.

5. Pricing and payment

The current price for a speech is displayed on the Service before you pay. Prices are shown in GBP or EUR depending on your location and include VAT where applicable.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We don't store your payment card details - they're held by Stripe, who are PCI-compliant.

We may run promotional pricing, introductory offers, or discount codes from time to time. These are at our discretion and may be withdrawn at any time.

6. Refund policy

Because each speech is custom-generated using AI based on the unique information you provide, all sales are final once the speech has been delivered. We cannot offer refunds for generated speeches.

If a technical error prevents your speech from being generated or delivered, contact us and we will either regenerate the speech or refund you in full.

If you are unhappy with the quality of your speech, contact us. We may, at our discretion, regenerate the speech free of charge. Refund requests for quality reasons will be considered case by case but are not guaranteed.

7. Your speech - ownership and use

The speech generated for you is yours to use however you like - read it at the wedding, share it with friends, edit it, post it online. You own the output.

By using the Service, you grant Speechcraft a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use anonymised and aggregated data from your speech form and generated speech for the purpose of improving the Service. We will never share identifying details, names, or stories in a way that could be linked back to you or your wedding.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or threatening.
  • Generate content about a real, identifiable person without their reasonable knowledge or consent.
  • Generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or harm others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service or its underlying AI prompts.
  • Resell or commercially redistribute generated speeches as your own product.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you are using it in breach of these Terms.

9. AI-generated content - disclaimers

You understand and accept that:

  • Speeches are generated by AI based on the information you provide. While we work hard to produce high-quality, fitting speeches, AI-generated content can occasionally contain errors, awkward phrasing, or content that doesn't fit your context.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the generated speech before delivering it at the wedding. We strongly recommend reading the speech aloud and editing as needed.
  • We do not guarantee that the speech will be free from errors, will be received well by the audience, or will be perfect for the event.
  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except those that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).

Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the speech.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages - including, for example, damages relating to how a speech was received at an event, lost time, or emotional impact.

11. Intellectual property

The Speechcraft website, brand, logo, prompts, software, and underlying systems are owned by Empiire Ltd. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Service except as expressly permitted in these Terms.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that causes harm to us or other users.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at speechcraft.co/terms with the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we will note them prominently. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer based outside England and Wales, this does not affect any rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country.
